Thank you to Uncle Tito who got Zoey her Polomalu jersey this past Xmas. She wears it every Sunday and it must be good luck because the Steelers have made it to the Superbowl. She will definitely be sporting her jersey this Sunday.

Isabel's Little Gym Graduation

Like Zoey, Izzy has a ton in her class. She's really social when she's in class and it helps her sometimes when she gets too shy. Izzy isn't as fearless as Zoey and she's more reluctant to try new things. Both girls are incredibly different in their personalities.

Zoey came to her sister's class and decided that she wanted to join in the group activities. She went and found a group on her own, funny thing, she didn't want to join the group her sister & friends were in.

When Izzy was on the bar she kept looking depressed and not smiling while I was taking pictures of her. I asked her to give me a smile and this is the super cheesy one she made. Funny thing, the girl does like being the center of attention but only on her terms. Oh silly Izzy!

Zoey's Little Gym Graduation

It has been a very long time since I've had the time to sit down at our home computer and update the blog. Zoey and Izzy have grown a lot since the last post.

When Zoey first started the birds class at the Little Gym, she wasn't even crawling yet. At her last birds class, she was running, climbing and jumping. So many milestones since she started.

Zoey has absolutely no fear of anything in class or outside of class. She's willing to try and do whatever. She's amazingly flexible and super, super sweet. Kailey our nanny tells us that Zoey always goes around to the other moms in class and gives them hugs or sits in their laps. She's such a sweet and social girl.

This semester she's enrolled in two classes a week because she loves it SOOO much! Just wish I wasn't working so I could take her. My little baby is growing up!

Izzy has been seriously GAP-ified... Instead of the normal pink and purple cutesie clothes I typically buy her, I thought I would change it up. I went for the Jack Purcell Converse, skinny jeans and black tops. We made her put on a fashion show with all her new clothes but we only got to 1 outfit... more to come!

Firestation Tour

We had a wonderful time a couple weekends ago at a local fire station in San Jose. This was one of our meet up group events and it was totally fun. All the kids had a blast playing with the fire truck and the fire hose.

The firemen took the hose from their truck and let the kids take turns turning it on and off. Apparently they carry 500 gallons of water on the truck itself and the rest they can get from fire hydrants. I think the parents had more fun talking to the firemen about what they do. The kids just wanted to get drenched...thank goodness that didn't happen.

Isabel's Little Gym Graduation

Izzy graduated from her class today and showed all of us her skills. She absolutely LOVES Little Gym and her teacher. There has never been one class where she has told afterwards that, "she had so much fun!".

Zoey's Litte Gym Graduation

I was a little hesitant on enrolling Zoey into the Bugs class at the Little Gym and found out she was the youngest in her class however Zoey doesn't get the amount of socialization that Isabel did at her age. We had Isabel at daycare when she was 10 months old so Zoey, almost two has spend the last 11.5 months at home. Week by week, she started to get better and I think it helped her learn to crawl.

Zoey's nanny Katie usually takes her every Friday so it was nice to see that Zoey was beginning to like the class. I enrolled her for summer to see if it will help her learn to walk. I love Little Gym and both girls seem to do too!

Lupus 5K Walk/Run

Our dear friend Rhoda set up an event for our group to join the Lupus Foundation 5k Run/Walk. It was a really fun and supportive event for everyone. I had no idea what the disease was until this race and I'm glad that we were able to support a friend.

The walk was at 9am and it was so nice out that by 10am I was STARVING! I had totally forgot to eat breakfast so right after the race, we went to Sonoma Chicken Coop for breakfast. YUM!

Happy Hollow

On April 24th, my parents group SBAAP went to Happy Hollow Park and had a super good time! We had a private picnic area and overall I think everyone was just happy (and thankful) that the weather was nice.

For some reason, Izzy was not her usual playful self for the first couple of hours and then as the day went on, she got more comfortable. She didn't want to go on any rides, which was odd and wanted to be with us most of the time.

Zoey had a fun day too being outside with everyone. She was happy hanging out in her stroller and ate a bunch of snacks.

A weekend of parties!

What a crazy crazy weekend! We had so many events and birthday parties smashed into one weekend. I think the whole family was just plain exhausted! On Friday night we hosted a "Princess & the Frog" movie night with some of our closest friends. It was a lot of fun! The kids did great and made it almost through the entire movie.

Saturday we had a Build A Bear event at Valley Fair and Izzy made a Hello Kitty stuffed animal that she named "Kitty". She loves her and brings her everywhere. Saturday afternoon we had birthday party to go to at our friend's house in San Jose (really close to where we live) and had a blast there. Non stop food and cake!

Sunday morning we had a party at Kidspark by Oakridge and it was so much fun! I think Izzy has to be pooped! I know I am.

Oakland Zoo

We took the girls to the zoo for the very first time on Sunday. Thank goodness we have friends who told us about the half off Oakland Zoo membership that was available. I couldn't wait to redeem it and take the girls. Izzy had such a good time looking at all the animals but her favorite part was probably eating an icee...

I couldn't believe but the rides at the zoo were all too big for her! After I purchased the ticket book too! They wouldn't let me refund the tickets... She won't be 36" tall for a really LONG time! Stupid rules.

Zoey was soooo good at the zoo. She really stayed awake and just watched everything around her. She fell asleep towards the end of the trip but she was a trooper.
