Happy Halloween!
This year we have only 2 pumpkins: 1 for Ozzie and 1 for Isabel. Obviously, the dog is Ozzie and the pig is Isabel. I only had two colors of paint so that's why they're not very colorful. Hopefully next year the pumpkins will be decorated better. We were a bit late in getting our pumpkins this year.

My Little Ewok
Okay, I'm in LOVE with my children. This is Ozzie trying to be ghetto fabulous... He's representing the Steeler Nation. Oh and they won today!
Well he actually looks like he belongs in Star Wars or something...
"Whatcha you looking at?!!"
Happy Halloween and may the force be with you!

Izzy and Ozzie
Okay, this is hard to tell in the picture but Ozzie is a giraffe this year for Halloween. We were going for a safari theme...
Isabel is actually super tired and we made her wear a lion shirt (which you can't tell in this picture) and then she borrowed her big brother's lion costume from last year. It actually fit her like a jacket. Ozzie and Izzy look kind of unhappy...they had been out and about all day long so I think posing for pictures was the last thing wanted to do that day.
We actually caught a picture of Ozzie looking straight at the camera. After a TON of pictures of his profile...we actually got one! You can kind of see Isabel's lion shirt!

Isabel's 1st Halloween
Isabel went to her very first pumpkin patch today. She was all dressed up and ready to pick her and Ozzie's pumpkin!
Isabel and mom (dad's taking the picture).
A nice couple who was also pregnant was kind enough to take our picture.

My Little Super Model
We wanted to have some "dressy" pictures of Isabel but was only able to take only a few because she got super fussy after like 5 minutes. She's been getting fussier these days and it seems like she wants to eat every hour! We noticed that before her feedings her cheeks are normal sized and proportionate to her head but then after she eats, she looks like a stuffed chipmunk!
After this picture she smacked her elephant away. She was not going to play nice anymore...
By the way, wanted to express my utter dislike for the Babies R Us in San Jose. This one totally sucks! The people are horrible both customers and staff. I dread going there but I get those coupons! The store always looks like a tornado went through it and the people are so gross.
Oh I took Isabel all by myself to Valley Fair today. It took awhile to get ready to go out but I had everything organized so it was really easy. She loves car rides! I never noticed strollers before I had a baby but now I totally notice everyone's strollers! I should have done my homework on strollers because I really like the Peg Perego PK series and totally should have gotten that. I really like my Chicco, totally light and easy to use but if I had known about the Peg Perego, I would have dished out the dough for it!

Shopping! Back In Full Force
So what a weekend! We did a "little" shopping... We were on a mission to get Isabel some winter clothes since all her newborn clothes were for summer/spring, she didn't have any long pants or long sleeve shirts. Ben, Cindy, and I hit up BabyGap. So there are two place so far which I am in love with, BabyGap and Nordstrom. The clothes are soooo adorable and so addicting. I mean once you start looking, I literally can't stop! Everything I pick up is super cute! So we picked up some clothes are Nordstrom (see above, she's in one of her Nordstrom outfits we got that day). The pacifier leash thingy was also from Nordstrom too. I am sure Nordstrom is making a killing off of mothers like me! I saw little toddler Joe's and Citizens in the kids dept and I melted. She and I can wear matching jeans when she grows up!
Isabel in her evening outfit getting ready to go out to dinner with the whole Chih family (plus extended) clan. She's in her new BabyGap velvet hoodie. Daddy said that she needed gold chains or something cuz she looks so ghetto. Hey it's BabyGap! It's not ghetto!

I Can Finally Be Opinionated!
Not that I wasn't before... But this time I can say that I've been trying out different baby products and can say whether they have worked for us or not. So we tried out the Avent bottles first and I had bought a whole bunch beforehand and realized that they were a little slow for Isabel. It would take her awhile to finish a bottle. She had already started to have really bad gas/constipation and we weren't sure if it was due to breastmilk, formula, or the bottles. So we tried to switch it up. I read about Dr. Brown's and after using them for a week or so, I absolutely love them. They help Isabel eat and burp consistently. She seems to be pretty content after each meal too.
We also tested out several brands of formula too and right now we are using the Enfamil Lacto Free since I believe Isabel has issues with milk. I have always had issues with milk so I think it passed to her. We had tried Nestle Good Start, Enfamil Soy, and Similac but I think they were all giving her too much gas and spit up. We've noticed that she has had less spit up and gas with the Enfamil Lacto Free. But overall I am still undecided about all the types of formula so I still want to try some others out.
Isabel started out with Pampers Swaddlers in Newborn and they worked out pretty well. She's grown big enough to wear the Kirkland brand which has worked out fine too so far. We have yet (fingers crossed) to have any leakage outside the diaper so I hope that continues!
So the big thing is that I've noticed a lot of products that we've bought or received as gifts have either been great or slightly disappointing. It's funny how the baby industry really thinks you need all this STUFF but in reality we probably didn't need half the stuff we have. Got to keep that in mind the next time I have a friend who's going to be a new parent.

My Little Tropical Princess
Okay so she was in a pretty good mood today so I thought I would let her try on some of her summer outfits that she hasn't gotten a chance to wear yet since she was so small towards the end of summer.
This week has been up & down in terms of her mood and fussiness. There's a few more days left of the first week without daddy home so we'll see how we do. Today has been a good day since it is the first day that she has been able to stretch out her meal times to almost 4-5 hours in between. Which is great since she can take in almost 6oz at each feeding. For a month old baby, that is A LOT! Well, you can see her double chin...
I haven't trimmed her nails yet so here she is stretching out her little claws. They are painful if she's lucky enough to get you with them!

Cutie Pie!
Yes she drives me nuts with all the diapers and feedings but she's so cute I guess it's ok! Just when we think we're in the clear with a new clean diaper, she has a few surprises for us! Fortunately, we haven't witnessed too many crazy ones...
The best part of being on maternity leave (besides NOT working) is that Ben has been home with me for almost 4 weeks now! It's sooo nice having him home with us. I am sooo dreading when he has to go back to work because then I'll lose almost ALL adult contact and I'm going to have to do ALL the feedings and diaper changes myself... oh crap. If there was ever a time that I wished we would win the lottery it would be now!
Here is Isabel with grandma. Grandma loves to hold her and makes sure she stops by at least once every couple of days to check up on us.
